The unexplored beauty of north east India (Tawang) is becoming a famous tourist attraction. The Sela Pass rises steeply and is covered with snow for most of the year. Jang waterfall, Jaswantgarh war memorial, Tawang Monetary, & Ani Gompa is a big tourist attraction.
Visitors to Tawang district require a special Inner Line Permit ( Indian Citizens only) from the government which are easily available with us or you can apply yourselves in Kolkata, Guwahati, Tezpur, and New Delhi. For foreign country passport holders PAP (Protected Area Permit) is required which is also available with us or you can obtain the Protected Area Permit from, All Indian Missions abroad, All Foreigners Regional Registration Officers (FRRO) at Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chief Immigration Officer, Chennai, Home Ministry, Govt. of India and Home Commissioner, Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh, Itanagar.
Most of the travel from the plains is on a steep hill road journey, crossing Sela Pass at 4,176 metres (13,701 ft). Tourists can travel to Tawang from Tezpur, Assam by road. Tezpur has direct flights from Kolkata. Guwahati, Assam, is 16 hours by road. In June 2008, a daily helicopter service from Guwahati was started by the Arunachal Pradesh government (But you have to skip the en route sightseeing of Bomdila& Dirang).
It is an arduous journey: most of the road is loose tarmac and gravel giving way to mud in many places. However, it is worth it with a scenic journey of nearly 12 hours, crossing Bomdila Pass 2,438 metres (8,000 feet), peaking at Sela Pass 4,176 metres (13,700 feet), Jaswant Garh and, finally, Tawang.
BEST TIME TO VISIT: March – June & September – December.
CLIMATE: The warmest month of the year is July, with an average temperature of 17.0 °C. January has the lowest average temperature of the year. It is 2.0 °C.

RESTRICTIONS: PAP (Protected Area Permit) holders are strictly prohibited to visit Bumla Pass ( The Indo - China Border). However, ILP (Inner Line Permit) holders can visit Bumla Pass with permit ( which will be managed by us).
